Privacy statement

Who we are
Islamic Coach is a project by Bunyamin Yildiz, based in the Netherlands. We sell books, e-books and audiobooks through islamiccoach.nl. For any privacy-related question, feel free to email by11711@gmail.com. We try to keep this statement readable — no legal fog, just an honest explanation of what happens with your data.
What we collect
When you place an order we ask for your name and email address. For physical books we also need your shipping address, billing address and phone number so the book can be delivered. For analytics we store an anonymous visitor id (never linked to your name or email) together with which pages were viewed. We intentionally avoid collecting data we don't need.
Why and on what legal basis
We use your data to fulfil your order (performance of the contract), to send confirmation and download links (performance of the contract), and to improve the website (legitimate interest, only with cookie consent). We never use your data for profiling, third-party advertising or automated decision-making.
Transfers outside the EU
Our database and email infrastructure live in the EU (Dublin). Stripe and Vercel are US-based but operate under Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Whenever possible we choose EU-hosted services; outside the EU only with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep order data for seven years — that is the statutory tax retention period in the Netherlands. Analytics data is anonymised or deleted after 26 months at the latest. If you email us without placing an order, we keep that correspondence for a maximum of 12 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also request data portability or object to processing. Email by11711@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. Please mention clearly which email address you use with us so we can process your request quickly.
Security
The connection to the site is SSL-encrypted. Payments are handled by Stripe and we never see your full card details. Access to our database is restricted and logged. We do our best to protect your data, but no system is 100% airtight — if anything happens we will inform you in time.
Right to complain
If you feel we're not respecting your privacy, please reach out first — we're happy to resolve it. If we can't figure it out together, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Changes
This statement can be updated occasionally, for example when we add new services. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For meaningful changes we'll flag it clearly on the site.
